I am thrilled to announce that I created my first actual Avocado Toast today. All I had to do was allow the organic avocados I bought a few days ago to ripen (and I tried eating one before it was ripe to discover that the meat inside the avocado was lacking that brilliant yellow-green color, softness, and delicious flavor). I decided to put the seeds of the avocados I used today each in their own tea cups with enough water to almost cover the entire seed in the hopes that the seeds will successfully germinate and I will be able to then transfer them to pots with soil in it such that avocado trees can grown in those pots and, eventually, I’ll have my own avocado supplier. The ripe avocado was soft and easy to mash with a spoon and then spread on some toasted bread. It took less than five minutes to assemble what looks like an expensive gourmet food item which would have cost at least $10 in some parts of the San Francisco Bay Area. (Perhaps next time I will add some sun-dried tomatoes, jalapeno peppers, and some lemon juice from the many lemons which are so abundant on the tree outside in the backyard that it is practically raining lemons out there).
Finally, I decided to include a video recording of me playing the drums rather well yesterday in this journal entry web page. That video has been uploaded to my Instagram page, to the GitHub repository associated with the chapter in which this journal entry web page is a part of, and to my Internet Archive library page.
